SUN Credit Union recognizes the importance
of protecting the privacy of personal information about our members and others
who visit our web site. Personal information includes all of the information
which you provide to us online that could be used to specifically identify you.
You may give us personal information when applying for membership, requesting an
account or service, or when you send us e-mail.
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
Should SUN Credit Union provide a web site with specified content for children,
the credit union will not collect information on visitors to the children's web
site, however, it is the expressed desire of the Board of Directors to provide a
clear and prominent privacy statement speaking to the issue and indicating that
we are not collecting information. Should SUN Credit Union begin to collect
information from visitors under the age of thirteen, it will be accomplished
with prior written consent of the parent.

General Privacy Notice
SUN Credit Union seeks to
protect the privacy of the financial data of the members. The
Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 and the Children's Online Privacy Protection
Act contain specific information in regard to the forming of regulations by
governing agencies to address these concerns.
Information Sharing
Identification
SUN Credit Union will
formulate a Committee, comprised of representatives of all operational
areas, to identify and assess those areas where member information is
shared, or may be shared, with parties outside of SUN Credit Union. The
following should be considered:

if the sharing and/or underlying product is necessary or if modifications to

Annual Privacy
Notice
SUN Credit Union will
prepare, or cause to be prepared, and distribute , on an annual basis, a
privacy statement that seeks to assure the members that SUN Credit Union
protects their personal financial information. This statement will be
provided even if there is no current product or service providers with which
SUN Credit Union shares member information.
While it is understood that
there are certain information-sharing relationships that do not require an
option for the member to exclude their rerecords from being shared, it is
the intent of the Board of Directors to differentiate SUN Credit Union from
other financial institutions. Therefore, the statement will allow for the
member to "opt-out" of all logistically possible or practicable
information-sharing activities.

Questions
If I complete an application on the
SUN Credit Union web site, what do you do with this information? We use this information to complete the request and/or transaction. We may
share personal information with our business partners in order to deliver
products and services which you have requested (i.e. to obtain a credit
report for a loan you applied for).
SUN Credit Union will NOT sell personal information to a third party for the
purpose of solicitation. Information may, from time to time, be made
available on a limited basis to business partners of SUN Credit Union, to
provide special offers or promotions of products or services that may be of
interest to particular members, in accordance with applicable law. Our
business partners are carefully selected and share the same strict business
principles as SUN Credit Union.
If I send you an email, what do you do with it? When you communicate to us through email, we use your email address for the
purpose of responding to your comments or questions.
The Credit Union has also started requesting email addresses from its
members and adding this information to its member database. This will
provide us the ability to contact members and potential members to inform
them about new products, services or promotional information available from
the Credit Union. Of course, you could unsubscribe to this by emailing us,
or letting us know via phone, fax or mail.
The email address you provide in order to join the list will not be sold,
nor will it be shared with others outside the credit union, unless we are
required to do so by law.
Who has access to my personal information at SUN Credit Union? Your personal information is only accessed by the Credit Union staff that is
responsible for completing your request or transaction. For your protection,
all email and applications are directed to the departmental supervisors. If
a communication requires staff to complete a task, the supervisor will
perform the action or refer it to the appropriate staff member.
Do you use web tracking software? And what do you do with the information
gathered? Yes, our web server has tracking software installed on it. This tracks
information, such as your IP address (to identify the domain you are coming
from such as aol.com or bellsouth.net), type of browser used, pages visited,
errors encountered, time of visit, etc. This software does not, however,
record any personally identifiable information that is provided by you.
There are certain areas of your web site that link to other web sites that
are not owned and operated by SUN Credit Union. What happens to information
provided to those entities? SUN Credit Union has, whenever possible, structured its business
relationships with other companies that share the same privacy values as us.
Some of these relationships have these terms expressed in our Agreement with
the other party. If you believe that your privacy has been violated on a
